I Love Halloween!

Today my mom, Dani and my "non" sister-in-law Rebecca took the little girls and went shopping. While at Costco we started looking at Halloween costumes. I absolutely love Halloween. I can't wait for it to get here! I think it is my favorite Holiday because you get to have all fun with out all pressure. We usually get together at my house or my sister Lisa's and make Chili & cornbread and just relax and enjoy while the guys take the little ones trick or treating. I came across these photos of Chelsea & Emma from last Halloween. I'm glad Chelsea still likes to dress up. We always have so much fun picking out the costumes and doing the make up. Any way, just thought I'd share!

Fantom Fun

This past weekend we went up to Portland with Zach and Chelsea (Dani took care of Mallory) to see Phantom of the Opera. As we were walking to the auditorium, we passed a trailer with the Phantom logo on it. We thought it would be a cool picture, as did the people walking just ahead of us, they asked me to take their picture. I was happy to help. They in turn took ours. As we were talking I apologized to the guy that I wasn't able to get the whole word in the photo but I was sure I got the F through the T. He just smiled and said thanks. Zach could not contain himself laughing, he said, "Mom, there's no F in Phantom". I was so embarrassed, what a goofball. I really do know how to spell! Really! I'm glad he was so nice and just smiled and walked away! Anyway, we proceeded to go to the show and thoroughly enjoyed.

Jill's 1st attempt at blogging

Okay, here it goes. I have been wanting to do this for quite some time now. Thanks to my wonderful sister for inspiring me and my amazing son for helping me! Zach started this blog quite a while ago but life has been unusually crazy!

Our new baby is already almost 4 months old. Time flies way too fast. Zach will be a junior this year! Surely I'm not old enough to have a 17 year old! Our little cherub, (aka. Chelsea) is 10. When I look back at how quickly Zach has grown I get a lump in my throat knowing my time with Chelsea and Mallory will fly just as fast if not faster. It is so hard to keep the perspective of cherishing the time now. We're always looking at what's ahead instead of what is right before us! Hopefully this blog will give me an opportunity to take more time to cherish each minute I have being a mom to these fabulous kids!

Jazz

Yesterday My Jazz Choir went to The Pleasant Hill Jazz Festival wich included schools from as far away as Meridian Idaho and Battle Ground Washington. In the opening round we sang three song (Blue Skies, Michele, and Don't get around much anymore) which included my scat solo on Blue Skies. We listened to a concert by Horace Alexander Young and then found out we were one of the two schools that were going to compete in finals against the shimmering Douglas High School Choir. We sang Michele and Swinging on a Star and absolutely rocked the house but the judges saw it differently and gave Douglas the first place trophy. Though we were still extatic because we don't think that a choir in second year of existence(like we are) has ever made it to finals in this competition.

This is Zach with an update. I have deleted my own blog replaced it with this for the use of my entire family. Enjoy.
